Solar Insiders Podcast: Is Australia now un-investible for big solar?

The shock-waves from the Coalition election win are being felt beyond Australia’s shores, as international developers review their interest in the Australia energy market.

As Nigel Morris reports back from Intersolar in Munich, international developers were adding a “risk premium” more around 7 per cent on solar projects in Australia if the Coalition retained power. And they are shocked by the new solar rules in Queensland, which are now being fought in the courts.

“Queensland is dead to us,” said one developer.

Also on this week’s episode: New offering from OpenSolar and interview about solar panel recycling with Sam Vanderhool from Recycling PV.
