Solar Insiders Podcast November 15

Australia has just enjoyed its biggest month ever, but it could have been even stronger if it were not for China’s appalling air pollution. In this week’s Solar Insiders podcast, Giles Parkinson and Nigel Morris discuss how the closure of factories in China is making it harder to source solar panels, and why the boom in EVs (overseas) are making inverters also hard to access.
In other news, we discuss further crack-downs on dodgy installers, the latest changes to the SRES rules, and the bold renewable energy vision emerging from South Australia.

We must legislate to enable bakers to refuse to cook a fancy cake.

  • On the topic of SAPN rooftop solar export limiting: there is a captive relationship between SAPN and ESCOSA. I believe either the Commissioner was acquired from SAPN or vice versa (I can't remember which way).
