Solar Choice
Average solar system prices for Australia’s capital cities rose slightly (to $1.63/W) between September and October. Price increases were seen primarily among smaller systems (1.5kW – 5kW) in a handful of cities, while 10kW system prices remained steady.
The figures in the tables below are based on quoted prices from our network of 100+ installers across Australia. All prices in the tables below are after the STC incentive has been applied and inclusive of GST; they represent the total retail cost of having the system installed.

Matt Wright here from Pure Electric Solutions we do all house all electric conversions and as part of that we do solar. For the median panel price given here ie Melbourne $1.26/W we can get Sunpower World's best solar panels installed, 20% more efficient per watt and higher efficiency ie 327W per panel instead of 260W per panel. Although a great service Solarquotes are often well behind moves in the market unfortunately.
Hi Matthew!
1) SolarQuotes and Solar Choice are different companies.
2) Sunpower can currently be bought wholesale for $0.95 per Watt down from $1.40 a few months ago - a great deal - but I believe it is very temporary to clear excess stock in Australia?
