Jinko Solar unveils second generation Tiger Neo solar panels

January 11, 2023 by Joshua S Hill Leave a Comment

Chinese solar manufacturing giant Jinko Solar has this week unveiled the second generation of its Tiger Neo solar panel family, built on record-high efficient N-type TOPCon technology.

Jinko Solar announced on Tuesday three new TOPCon solar panel variants which range in power from 445W up to 635W.

This second generation of the Tiger Neo solar panel family are built on the record highly efficient N-type TOPCon technology, delivering one of the world’s most efficient and powerful solar panels.

The three series’ variants include a 54-cell 445Wp module, a 72-cell 615Wp module, and a 78-cell 635Wp module, with module efficiencies of 22.27%, 23.23%, and 22.72% respectively.

All three Second Generation Tiger Neo series are built on 182mm wafers and boast a temperature co-efficiency of -0.29%/℃ and an 85% bifacial factor, which allows for a higher generation on the rear side panel and allows for between 15% and 20% more yield compared to conventional bifacial panels.

Jinko Solar says the new panels offer “unmatched low-light performance,” able to generate a higher average productivity even under low-light conditions such as at sunset, sunrise, and under overcast skies.

“We are once again raising the standard of N-type performance with the latest generation of our Tiger Neo panels, which deliver better system performance – even through the most demanding conditions,” said Gener Miao, CMO of JinkoSolar.

“This panel, combined with an industry-leading N-type partner ecosystem and new solutions like ESS, will show what’s truly possible with the solar PV experience going forward.”
