Chinese PV inverter manufacturer GoodWe unveiled this week the new ET G2 Series in Australia and New Zealand, a 6-15kW three-phase high-voltage hybrid inverter for use in residential applications.

As the latest additions to GoodWe’s inverter portfolio, the new ET G2 Series provides expanded power options of 12kW and 15kW with a sleek and modern design that the company hopes will help it blend into all residential settings.

Equipped with 200 per cent DC oversizing, 98.2 per cent efficiency, and a built-in smart meter to simplify energy monitoring, the new inverters include up to three Maximum Power Point Trackers (MPPTs) to maximise energy generation in variable conditions.

The inverter also supports parallel connections of up to six units to provide scalability for growing energy demands.

The ET G2 Series has also been designed specifically for the Australian and New Zealand markets with features including smart load control, 100 per cent unbalanced output, and a streamlined installation for ease of use for both homeowners and installers.

Additionally, GoodWe says that the new ET G2 inverter is fully compatible with its Lynx F G2 battery storage system, which was recently approved by the Australian Clean Energy Council (CEC).

Requiring only two 6.4kWh modules as a minimum, the Lynx F G2 offers increased flexibility and efficiency for homeowners, delivering backup power activation in under 10 milliseconds and an IP66 rating, helping to ensure that essential loads remain operational during outages in a range of conditions and settings.

“GoodWe offers the largest range of inverter products on the market, and the ET G2 now strengthens our growing range of energy storage solutions, from 6kW to 30kW three-phase systems with paralleling capabilities,” said Dean Williamson, country manager at GoodWe Australia and New Zealand.

“The added flexibility of additional MPPTs ensures maximising roof space, while the inbuilt meter provides improved ease of installation and decreases both cost and installation time for installers onsite.

“We look forward to 2025 when GoodWe will continue releasing more exciting new energy storage products for residential and commercial scale applications.”
