Trina Solar launches new Vertex N module, with promise of 10GW of supply

October 25, 2022 by Joshua S Hill Leave a Comment

Chinese solar manufacturing giant Trina Solar has unveiled its latest n-type solar module for commercial and industrial and utility-scale projects and is targeting the release of 10GW of n-type capacity in the first quarter of 2023.

Trina Solar unveiled its Vertex N 595W for C&I and utility-scale projects last week, the third in its n-type module portfolio.

Boasting maximum power output of 595W – billed as 30W higher than conventional n-type modules on the market – the dual-glass Vertex N 595W increases bifaciality to 80% and delivers higher efficiency, lower degradation, and better energy yield.

This results in lower balance of system (BOS) and levelised cost of electricity (LCoE) to projects. Making it even more attractive to project developers, the N 595W modules adopt the latest 210 product platform and are highly compatible with trackers.

The Vertex N 595W joins Trina Solar’s existing n-type portfolio which includes the Vertex N 690W for utility scenarios and Vertex S+ 445W for rooftop PV systems.

This new generation of n-type modules will reportedly be in mass production by year’s end, and Trina Solar is targeting the release of 10GW of capacity in the first quarter of 2023.

With n-type solar modules for most scenarios, Trina Solar is hoping to cement its Vertex N modules as the preeminent product for rooftop and utility-scale solar projects.
