Brisbane based start-up Vaulta, originally established as a battery casing technology company, has this week unveiled its first dedicated small-scale residential battery, a 48V 5.12kWh battery that can be easily stacked to increase capacity.

The company made the announcement on their LinkedIn page on Wednesday, promising that the new battery can be “duplicated” to increase capacity and “seamlessly” integrated with most 48V inverters, “making the installation process nice and easy.”

Engineered and assembled in Brisbane, all batteries are white label ready, and all the battery cells can be replaced, recycled, and reused.

The battery is also well suited to operating virtually anywhere in Australia, operating in temperatures ranging from -20°C to 55°C.

With a calendar lifespan of 10 years (at 25°C) and up to 4,000 cycles at 35°C, the indoor-only battery measures less than a metre in height and only 357mm wide.

Prospective customers can register their interest by enquiring through the company’s website.
