LG launches new solar modules for Australian rooftop market

LG Solar, the solar panel division of South Korean electronics giant LG, has introduced its new 2022 range of solar panels for Australia, the LG NeON H+ solar range, including the flagship 415W LG NeON H+.

The new range includes the LG NeON H+ White 410W and the LG NeON H+ Black 410W models. Each module consists of new wiring technology, gap-free design, and LG half-cut cells, all of which combine to increase output and resistance to thermal stress and external impact.

With a 25-year product and performance warranty and built for the harsh conditions of life in Australia and New Zealand, the new LG NeON H panels are suitable for installation along Australia’s coast, boast excellent high temperature performance, and high wind load resistance.

In particular, the new LG NeON H panels benefit from an impressive temperature coefficient of -0.33 percent per degree Celsius and are less adversely affected by hot temperatures than other solar panels on the market.

According to LG, after 25 years, a typical 10kWp NeON H+ 410W solar installation can product an additional 32,632kWh when compared to a similar 370W system.

“The introduction of the NeON H+ range provides the type of high-efficiency and high-quality solution which is increasingly sought after by Australian homeowners,” said Gus Paviani, general manager of solar and energy, LG Electronics Australia.

“Backed by LG’s 25-year product and performance warranty, this module gives confidence about outstanding performance and durability, while reducing a home’s energy footprint. As more consumers adopt electric cars and add battery storage to their homes, the average solar system is likely to reach 15kWp in the coming years, assuming it follows the national trend over the past 10 years.

“High efficiency and low degradation panels such as the NeON range are designed to maximize the roof space and cater for consumers future energy needs. All these new solar modules are made by LG Electronics in our state-of-the-art solar factories in South Korea.”

In addition to the new NeON H range, LG has also updated its LG NeON H BiFacial range with three new models – 440W, 445W, and 450W. Able to absorb sunlight from both front and back thanks to the use of a transparent back sheet, LG’s bifacial technology is designed to produce up to 30% increased energy production.

Three new bifacial models for LG’s commercial line-up were also introduced – the 460W, 465W, and 470W, each boasting module efficiency of up to 21.4%.
