Solar Module Super League member Longi Solar has formally launched its Hi-MO 4m module – three products ranging from 370-385W, to 410-420W and 450-460W respectively – targeting residential and small commercial applications.
Longi said on Tuesday that the three products had a maximum efficiency of up to 21%, offering “ultra-high-value” modules that were tailored to meet the needs of different rooftops in residential, industrial and commercial applications.
The official launch of the new modules follows Longi’s news last week that it had shipped a record total of 24.53GW PV modules in 2020, giving the company the mantle of world’s largest PV manufacturer for the first time.
“LONGi will continue to increase R&D investment in technological innovation and expand the production capacity of our DG solar products to 10GW in 2021,” said Longi Solar senior vice president Dennis She at the launch event for the Hi-MO 4m modules.
“The global residential rooftop market has specific requirements in terms of product performance and aesthetics and, in addition to providing high-quality solar products, Longi is committed to providing our global DG clients with comprehensive energy service solutions.”
Earlier this month, Longi’s Australian branch launched a Solar Rewards program that awards points for every kW of Longi modules sold and installed by an authorised retailer that can be redeemed in an online store.
“In addition to providing world leading mono-crystalline module technology to the Australian market we have launched this new program to directly recognise and reward individuals from SME companies driving the clean energy transition every day,” said Longi Solar Australia managing director Stephen Zhang.
The program also gives members access to training, technology previews, business support and networking opportunities, as well as exclusive market and technical insights.
“This unique new program, a world first for Longi, is an important extension of our dedicated national technical support network,” said Zhang. “It will allow us to offer exclusive training and market support to help our customers grow their businesses.”
On the Hi-MO 4m modules, Longi’s head of distributed generation, Niu Yanyan, added: “We are confident about providing our state-of-the-art modules to partners and clients in the global DG market.”
