New solar modules offer 40-year warranty, 23.6 pct efficiency

January 31, 2024 by Joshua S Hill Leave a Comment

German solar technology giant AEG has launched a new n-type solar module based on all-back contact (ABC) cell technology which the company offers with a 40-year manufacturer and linear performance warranty.

In fact, all new AEG solar modules sold from now on will each benefit from a 30-year product warranty and 30-year linear performance warranty at a minimum.

But the highlight of AEG’s latest announcement is its new ABC n-type solar modules, which in addition to a 40-year warranty also boast efficiency up to 23.6% and a power range up to 460Wp.

The new modules come in two variants – 108 cells-glass-glass and 108-cells glass-backsheet, though only the glass-glass ABC modules come with the 40-year warranty.

“We aim at making the work of distributors and installers easier,” said Bertrand Chevalley, chief operating officer of Solar Solutions Group, the official supplier of AEG solar panels.

“We do it by offering products that meet the highest quality standards, bear a brand that is widely trusted by end customers, and by backing this up with industry-leading warranties for extra peace of mind.

“Our Quality Control team ensures with rigorous audits and absolute commitment that our elevate standards are consistently maintained throughout all product and production lines.

“This grants us the confidence of offering not only a top quality product, but also extra safety on all AEG solar modules with industry-leading warranties, giving installers and end customers extra peace of mind.”

AEG’s entire n-tyle solar module portfolio will be expanded to cover higher performances and various formats, spanning from 108 to 120, 132 and 144 half-cut cells, ranging from 420W to 615W.

The portfolio will be dominated by the use of rectangular M10 half-cut cells (RM10) which are designed to provide a larger converting surface and higher efficiency to glass-backsheet and double glass modules.
