South Korean clean energy company QCells is launching the first fully integrated solar, battery and energy plan for Tasmanian households looking to reduce their energy bills and generate their own electricity.
With rising electricity prices rising across Australia, Qcells are delivering a fully integrated solution which includes the solar panels, battery, and energy plan, to help Tasmanians save on their electricity bills.
The Qcells plan offers a 15-year battery warranty, fixed monthly costs which can be spread across a 10-year period, and local technicians to install a complete solar and battery solution.
The new offering also hopes to address Tasmania’s relatively low solar adoption rates, which is one of the lowest in Australia, with only 18% of homes equipped with solar systems.
But with federal rebates still available via the STC program and an average solar rebate in Tasmania reaching $1,875 for a 5kW solar system, QCells says that there hasn’t been a better time to switch.
“Tasmanians are defined by their resilience and independence and the way they power their homes should reflect that,” said Mick Fell, general manager of commercial operations at Qcells Australia.
“It make sense for us to offer our all-inclusive energy solution that will deliver Tasmanians both bill savings and energy independence.”
In Australia, QCells offers their market-leading battery system, the Q.Home Core, either as a standalone purchase or bundled with QCells solar panels.
The company last year partnered with ASX listed finance provider Plenti to allow customers to pay back the cost of their solar battery system over the course of up to 10 years.
