Australian-owned and operated battery and smart inverter outfit Redback Technologies has announced the launch of its “next generation” home solar and battery range, just six months after a brief stint in voluntary administration.
The Brisbane-based company went into voluntary administration in March, just days after being a part of the Smart Energy Conference in Sydney, where it was giving a glimpse of its new Hybrid Battery System.
The setback was short-lived, however, with the company going back into business in May under the control of new owners, Australia Ebon Group.
In a statement at the time, Redback said it has “a reinvigorated and bright future,” with the new ownership allowing it to continue creating Australian-engineered, sustainable energy solutions for homes and businesses.
This week, the company has revealed it will be launching its next-generation product range – the Hybrid Battery System, the Hybrid Battery 3-Phase, the Hybrid Battery Max, and the 3-Phase Grid-Tie Smart Inverter – at the upcoming All Energy Australia conference.
Redback CEO Adrian Knack said on Tuesday that 2024 has marked “a lot of new beginnings” for the company, including exiting voluntary administration with a new backer and fresh funds for innovation.
“Now, we’re unveiling our latest range of solar and battery solutions,” Knack says.
“I couldn’t be prouder of the efforts of the entire Redback team, and I am excited to already be seeing positive feedback on the range from our network.”
Knack says the new range of products has been engineered to ensure installers and homeowners get the best bang for their buck.
“At Redback, we understand that our installers are looking for a simplified installation that is both safe for them, and the occupants of the property on which the unit is being installed,” he said.
“We also know that as the cost of living continues to pinch Australians’ pockets, homeowners are looking for ways to save on their energy bills.
“As we engineered our next generation range, our goal was clear: to help solve these problems for our customers, and contribute new, upgraded and more powerful systems to the market.”
Knack says the company has more “exciting things” in the pipeline, including a move into the commercial and industrial sector next year.
Prototypes of the new range can be viewed at All Energy Australia on October 23 & 24 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, stand T113. A prototype Commercial & Industrial unit will also be available to see.
