Solar Insiders Podcast June 20

June 20, 2018 by Giles Parkinson and Nigel Morris Leave a Comment

Rooftop solar is booming, but regulators want to “orchestrate” household installations, and utilities want to use the output to help meet their emissions targets.
This is going to be one of the key issues in coming years, as distributed energy accounts for nearly one half of all generation, but regulators seek “visibility” and “control” of the asset, and utilities seek to use them to make emissions reductions easier.
This, and much more, is discussed in our latest Solar Insiders podcast, including Martin Green’s global energy prize, and some exciting news from the EV world.
