Solar Insiders Podcast August 2

August 2, 2018 by Giles Parkinson and Nigel Morris Leave a Comment

It’s been a busy two days at the Clean Energy Summit in Sydney this week.
Somehow, we have managed to put together a 30 minute podcast that makes no mention of the National Energy Guarantee.
We talk to Canadian Solar CEO Shawn Qu on the remarkable progress of the solar industry, and what’s ahead. Qu established Canadian nearly 20 years ago, and the company is now one of the top 5 solar module manufacturers in the world. His insights are worth listening to.
And we share our delight that co-host Nigel Morris was recognised by the Clean Energy Council for his outstanding contribution to the solar industry over the last 25 years. We couldn’t think of a more worthy winner.
And we discuss some of the other solar news, including a potential innovative scheme from the WA government on batteries, the demise of a company that had been doing great things for energy poverty, and Nigel looks at the proposed Harley-Davidson electric motor-bike. His verdict? A Zero.
If you like our podcast please give us your feedback, or leave a review on iTunes to help more people find it.
