Solar Juice signs 150MW inverter distribution deal with Sungrow

July 29, 2020 by Sophie Vorrath Leave a Comment

Australian rooftop PV distributor Solar Juice has inked a 150MW distribution agreement with the world’s largest pure-play inverter manufacturer, Sungrow.

Solar Juice, itself a major distributor of inverters in Australia, said the two companies had had a number of discussions over the years, but felt that now was the right time to formally kick off a partnership.

“I have been working in the Solar industry for since 1997, Sungrow was founded in 1997 and has been growing year over year ever since,” said Solar Juice co-founder and supply director, Rami Fedda this week.

“Sungrow ticks all boxes in relation to its high quality product, wide range and most important great local after service.”

Sungrow’s Australian country manager, Joe Zhou, said the inverter giant “firmly believed” in long term partnerships that resulted in win-win outcomes.

“Despite being the largest inverter manufacturer in the world with more than 50GW annual capacity, our commitment to ensuring the highest level of support and service to every Sungrow customers remains paramount,” Zhou said.

“Our inverters are supplied and supported in over 120 counties and have been proven in the Australian market for many years.

“We look forward with great enthusiasm to working with Solar Juice and its customers to deliver the latest leading edge inverter products for many decades to come,” he said.

Andrew Burgess, Solar Juice’s co-founder and sales director said the increasing consumer shift to quality products and premium sales support had become paramount in the Australian residential and commercial rooftop solar markets.

“The team from Sungrow have really invested in ensuring both pre and post service levels are world leading and for Solar Juice,” Burgess said.

“We know the bar is continually being lifted and technology is moving forward rapidly and Sungrow are certainly aligned with the goals of supporting the Australian renewable market.”
